Dr. Jacqueline Casale Taylor Basker


DR. JACQUELINE TAYLOR CASALE BASKER AS BEEN LIVING AND WORKING IN THE MIDDLE EAST AND HAS PRODUCED A BODY OF ARTWORK, RESEARCH AND WRITING THAT RELATES TO THE SOCIAL, POLITICAL AND RELIGIOUS ISSUES OF THE REGION.  BORN IN NYC, SHE SPENT MUCH OF HER CHILDHOOD IN PUERTO RICO AND PERU, AND PRODUCES ART THAT ADDRESSES POLICIES IN THE US AFFECTING HISPANIC AND OTHER IMMIGRANT GROUPS, AND EXHIBITS WITH LATINO ARTISTS OF THE "WE ARE YOU" PROJECT.  SHE HOLDS A PH.D FROM OXFORD UNIVERSITY, UK/GRADUATE THEOLOGICAL FOUNDATION/US AND HAS TAUGHT AT AN AMERICAN UNIVERSITY IN AMMAN, JORDAN, NEW YORK INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, AND WILL TEACH "ISLAMIC ARCHITECTURE IN CONTEXT" WITH THE GERMAN-JORDAN UNIVERSITY FOR SUMMER, 2014.
